A Couples-Only Boutique Inn Minutes from Stowe, Vermont

Four suites. Forty wooded acres. Mt. Mansfield in every window. Breakfast comes out of our open kitchen — eight at the table when we're full, no posted menu, no two mornings alike, and gluten-free as easily as anything else. Couples-only, no children, no pets. Made for a quiet February weekend, even better for fall foliage, and designed for the romantic weekend getaway you've been meaning to take.

A weekend rhythm, by design.

Thursday through Sunday nights, year-round.
Every night during fall foliage, September 1 through October 31.

Welcome to our award-winning Stowe, Vermont Inn

Stowe Meadows was our home before it was an inn. Our love affair with Vermont started in the nineties, and when we found this property, we fell in love with the view across the valley. We built it out the way we wanted to live in it — finishes, furniture, the way each room frames the mountain.
We loved sharing it with friends and family, building memories and stories in each trail we cut and garden we created.

In 2007 we opened it to weekend guests, and we've been hosting couples here ever since. It's still our home first.

Which means we welcome you at the door, and we're the ones in the kitchen — likely with eggs from the coop and herbs from our garden. The flowers in your suite were arranged that morning, cut from the beds out back. The mattress you'll write to ask us about is the same brand and model we sleep on ourselves. The restaurants and trails we recommend are our favorites, refined over twenty years of guests telling us theirs.

None of it is commercial. All of it is the Vermont we love.

We've always invited friends to our Stowe house on the weekends — even before this was an inn. Now we have friends who visit every weekend. They just don't know they're our friends yet.

A look around, before you decide.

The details guests remember.

The view from Elmore Mountain.

Stowe Meadows sits at 1,300 feet on Elmore Mountain, the quieter ridge across the valley from Mt. Mansfield. From every suite you look directly at the ski trails of Spruce Peak Resort, with the full sweep of the Green Mountains behind — farmland in the foreground, the ski runs across the valley, the ridgeline beyond.

Stowe Village is ten minutes by car. Burlington airport is forty-five. But the closer geography is the one most guests don't know about until they arrive: Lake Elmore at the base of the mountain, Elmore Mountain Bread and Sticky's maple syrup just down the road, the fire tower at the top of the Elmore state park if you want to climb for the view. We've done all of it. We'll tell you where to go.

Caroline and Erich made us feel like old friends from the moment we walked in — and Erich's  breakfast was worth the drive on its own. Thank you for an amazing stay and a lasting friendship.

This is our fourth stay. We've now brought three other couples here.  None of them have stopped talking about it. Now we always book with at least one other couple, sometimes two!
